Over £100,000 investment at Banks Leisure Centre
You may have heard the rumours and asked whether they are true, well Banks Leisure Centre is receiving a significant investment this Autumn to bring you two fantastic all weather Astro turf pitches!
West Lancashire Community Trust has committed over £100,000 toward the project with Doe Sport Ltd. the appointed contractors. Work starts as soon as next week, Monday 8th October to be precise, with the existing all weather area being overhauled to make way for the more modern playing service. You will have two of the finest 5-a-side all weather pitches in the area, all flood lit and fenced, and you will be surprised at the turnaround…with the work scheduled to be completed by the end of November 2007!!
Both the existing pitches will be unavailable to facilitate your bookings, although we are sure you are excited about the new facilities as much as we are. To ensure you do not receive too much disruption to the level of service you receive we would like to make you aware of additional facilities that will accommodate your bookings during the interim period:

Both leisure facilities provide outdoor and indoor football pitches, equipment to hire, changing and shower facilities and a bar at Skelmersdale Sports Centre for you to enjoy after your session.
