Burscough Fitness & Racquets Leisure Centre had a cool half a million pounds spent on the centre in January 2005 to ensure that the customers benefit from the latest hi-tech workout equipment and even more opportunities to keep fit.

The centres refurbishment works mean that customers can now enjoy leisure facilities on a par with private health clubs.

New top of the range cardiovascular and resistance equipment has been installed in the fitness suite, which has tripled in size.  There is a brand new dance studio and a more varied programme of exercise classes.  The changing rooms have also been refurbished and there is also improved disabled access.
